DIY easy shaker cards with Evelyn Wolff

Hi everyone, Evelyn here and today I am going to share with you how to make some easy-peasy shaker cards.
For my cards I used the My Mind’s Eye Just Sayin’ transparent sheets and some of the beautiful papers from this collection.

For the shaker element  you need foam tape or pads. And of course you need some sequins or glitter or whatever you would like to use.
The transparent sheets are perfect because the phrases are so nice to use on cards.

I’ve cut out a frame with one of my dies. You could use every shape you’d like or you have at hand.
You need to glue down the transparent sheet on the backside of the frame. I always use double sided tape for this.

And then you need to put the foam tape on it and you have to be careful because you need to make sure that there are no gaps.

One more piece of paper for the backside and of course don’t forget to fill the shaker box.

Your shaker box is now ready to create a card with it.

I hope you enjoyed my small tutorial and I can’t wait to see what you’ll create! Have fun!

December Colour Challenge

Hi Mei Li Paperie Fans,
This is Evelyn here today with the December color challenge. I had a lot of fun to create this layout with the beautiful color palette and the goodies from the Mei Li Paperie shop.

When I first saw the color palette I knew that I need to use the papers from Maggie Holmes Open Book collection together with these photos.
They are from our pre wedding photo shoot and I love them because we had so much fun together. And they fit the color scheme perfectly.

I’ve decided to go with blue and orange as my main colors on the layout. I love the result with this contrast.

It was so fun working with the color palette and I can’t wait to see what you choose for the Inspired by Challenge!

We can't wait to see what you create either! Show us how you are inspired by this image and share it here. You could win a My Mind's Eye prize pack full of Just Sayin collection goodies!

Introducing our December guest Evelyn Wolff!

Do you all have your advent calendars ready? Its December 1st today! How fast did the end of the year sneak up? We have our new guest designer to introduce today but first I wanted to quickly mention our quiet blog over the month of November.
We want to thank all those who sent lovely messages wondering where we went and why we weren't posting. November proved pretty hectic for as we were side tracked with health issues and an international move between the two of us. We made sure that our limited time last month was allocated to getting your orders out and responding to your emails quick. We are now back in the blogging seat again and will resume our usual challenge and blogging schedule from here forward. We want to thank you all for your patience and understanding all last month.

With that said lets get on to all the excitement December holds starting with our wonderful fabulous guest designer Evelyn Wolff aka evelynlafleur! Here she is! We can't wait to see what she will create with us.

Hi everyone,
My name is Evelyn (evelynlafleur is used in galleries) and I live in Germany with my amazing husband and our furbaby.
I’ve started scrapbooking in 2012 because I love the idea of documenting all the special and even the everyday moments in our life.
When I’m not scrapbooking you could find me watching one of my favorite tv series with a big cup of hot white chocolate and my cat on the lap.
My non creative self is working as an accountant for an international trading company.
I’m beyond excited to be guest designing here at wonderful MeiLi Paperie.

My blog called Zauberhafte Welt: http://evelynlafleur.blogspot.de
